Our history

Given our core markets - the process industry and infrastructures – we know our clients work to the toughest safety and environmental standards of any sector. Safety is our No. 1 priority!
Each day 1,500 STAR specialists are working in challenging and often hazardous environments, which by their very nature have a certain amount of risk attached. STAR embodies a culture of ‘everybody home safely’. As safety is embedded in the STAR company culture, our people know it comes first. Our teams are always aware of potential dangers. They anticipate the risks involved and take the appropriate mitigating measures.
When joining STAR our specialists are made aware of the STAR Safety Culture and there is an ongoing programme to make sure everyone stays up-to-date with the latest (inter)national standards.

HSE accreditation & Safety Plan
STAR is accredited with the national equivalent of SCC (Safety, Health & Environment Checklist Contractors) – VCA* in Belgium and Germany and VCU in the Netherlands. We have an extensive Safety Plan in place.
–We, as our clients, aim to achieve a zero incident environment and we worktogether to realise this goal. STAR is one of the largest supplier of Safety Teams and specialists in the Benelux. Our Safety Managers and certified Senior Safety Supervisors have made a major contribution to the safe execution of several projects over the years.
